The State of Missouri Hybrid Tattoo Apprenticeship by Nick Young Tattoos and Learn to Ink is the most trusted, state-approved way to earn your Missouri Tattoo License and become a professional tattoo artist in Kansas City. This elite program combines online tattoo training with hands-on studio experience at Tattoo INKC (#2025044808) — a fully licensed Missouri tattoo shop located at 1024 W 103rd Street, Kansas City, MO 64114. You’ll learn to tattoo safely, legally, and confidently under licensed supervision inside a professional working studio. Begin online with a complete 10-module, 100-lesson course that covers sanitation, bloodborne pathogens, tattoo machine setup, stencil design, shading, color theory, and Missouri tattoo laws — all aligned with RSMo 324.520-526 and 20 CSR 2267 state regulations. Then move in-studio to complete 50 real tattoos on real clients, gaining the experience you need to launch your career and qualify for your Missouri Tattooist License. Students must obtain valid CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications (available online for under $100 each). Tattoo equipment isn’t included, but you can bring your own or purchase our optional Professional Tattoo Supply Package.
